Deb Doll, RN, CHPN, BSN - Director of Education

Deb was nine years old when she decided that she wanted to be a nurse. She wrote a report called “Anchors Away” describing her dream of being a Navy Nurse. Although the Navy never became a part of her life, she has practiced in this very rewarding profession for 33 years. Deb received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Montana State University. She practiced her first year in a small rural hospital then enjoyed working in an Intensive Care Unit for 10 years. Her goal of helping to make a difference in other’s lives took her to become certified as a Transplant Coordinator working with organ donation and transplantation in the Pacific Northwest. It was a joy for her to see the result of new life in those who had received a transplant and a privilege to be able direct the bereavement program offered for those who had given this life. She also served this group of people as National Chair for the Donor Family Program, part of the National Association of Organ Procurement Organizations. She enjoys traveling and as a National Trainer for the AARP’s Grief and Loss program she was able to teach in many areas of the U.S. Being clinical instructor for LPN students at Montana State University allowed her to share knowledge at the bedside but wanting to actually be at the bedside again, caring for patients, led her to become certified as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. Hospice has been her passion for the last nine years. She loves taking care of patients and families and sharing her learned experiences in the role of mentor and teacher.
